Hello friends and family, it’s me Ian Blackburn. Thanks for following my big adventure from home and high school into college and adulthood. Friends and family are welcome to attend the graduation on June 4 or come for the celebrate the end of my lower education on June 25 at our house! RSVP is greatly appreciated May 2022The Final PerformanceAfter 7 years of band playing the trumpet from 5th grade to my final performance on May 26, it's been a big part of my life. Here are a few of my final memories to close out my time in the Rosemount High School Band Program Here are Miriam & I each accepting the Director's award! Prom!!!!Senior prom was an amazing day with many of my band friends and my girlfriend Miriam. Thanks to my dad for driving us all in our party bus to the school, Nicolett park for photos, and dinner with our group. The big day is approachingAs my Senior year of high school of high school is nearing it's end, it's hard to think of my favorite memories as all of the friendships that I have made are so precious and have made my time at Rosemount High School so fantastic. I hope to be able to share some of those favorite stories with my friends and family in June as part of my graduation ceremony and graduation party. Be sure to watch this space for more details! April 2022As decision day looms for my collegate plans after I graduate from Rosemount High School, I'm excited to annouce that I am #BluGoldBound as I head to the University of Wisconsin at Eau (pronounced "O") Claire this fall. I will be majoring in both engineering with my love of math and science, as well as my passion for the arts and music. March 2022Thank you for your help in funding my grand adventure to Hawaii! through the support of my family and friends, I was able to fully fund my trip and had an amazing time. Click here to read about my trip and see photosJanuary 2022I have an amazing opportunity to travel to Hawaii during spring break to sing and play my trumpet in a collaborative concert between Rosemount High School Band & the Iolani High School, attend a workshop hosted by Jeffrey Boeckman, Director of Bands, at the University of Hawaii, and see the amazing sites of our 50th state of the USA. You can see at the full flyer with the full schedule of events by clicking here The issue at hand is the costs: $3,300, which is due in its entirety by I know the goal can be reached with the combined help of all my friends and family, and donating to this trip would be contributing to a memorable moment to my life: more than any birthday, Christmas, or graduation gift I could possibly get.
